WATCH e.V.

In view of the sustainable development of the WATCH Joint Laboratory research presence, which was funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), plans were made to establish an association under the umbrella of WATCH.

The inaugural meeting of the Sino-German Centre for Water and Health Research was successfully held in Aachen on 4 April 2023, immediately after the end of the BMBF project funding, with the participation of Chinese and German members from research and industry.

On 1 June 2023, the association was officially registered at the Aachen District Court. In consultation with the BMBF, the short form of the association is WATCH e.V., following on from the BMBF project. This will also contribute to the successful establishment of economic cooperation within the framework of the WATCH research presence in the long term.
